Steelers, Lions wrap up productive joint practices
Antonio Brown riled an National Football League official at a Steelers practice, prompting the official to tell someone the team better get Brown under control.

During a joint practice with the Detroit Lions, Brown unleashed some four-letter words at the official.
As hard as that is to believe, it’s true, according to those in attendance who witnessed the day’s actions, including Steelers beat writer Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Brown reportedly got into a heated argument with an official following an incomplete pass in the end zone – a play which Brown thought warranted a flag.
Official Terry Brown said that the receiver’s actions would have gotten him a penalty in a real game.
“I am not going to officially declare anyone out”.
And despite the notion that Terry Brown would have ejected Antonio Brown for saying what he said if he said those things during a game, officials routinely resist ejecting players, because they are reluctant to impact competitive balance.
Since it can be assumed Brown won’t receive anything but a slap on the wrist for his practice “transgressions”, Steelers fans should be excited about the training camp he’s having, where he apparently can’t be stopped-including by the Lions during the joint practices on Tuesday and Wednesday. There is a fine line between competitiveness and stupidity and what Brown did was just stupid.

Officials should be aware of this incident and give defenders a little extra leeway when guarding Brown come the regular season.
