Claudio Ranieri: Leicester manager signs new contract until 2020
Can Leicester continue the party this season?

Leicester had beat all odds to lift the Premier League title. It is easier ET comes to Piccadilly Circus! ‘It is normal we can’t win the league. For this reason I say the bookmakers must do 6,000-1. It’s more hard than last season.
In other matches involving teams among the main title contenders, Mauricio Pochettino takes his Tottenham Hotspur side to Everton on Saturday, while Antonio Conte makes his debut in charge of Chelsea at home to West Ham United on Monday.
“They have all been thrown together but that one link has now been broken”.
Whatever happens over the next nine or so months, the city of Leicester will forever be grateful for what the Italian and his players achieved at the King Power Stadium in 2015-16. “I say, ‘Hey, keep going, we have to improve, also you have to improve your experience in the Champions League, it’s totally different'”.
Speaking after the deal was sealed, Ranieri said in a statement on the club’s website that spirit and hard work had helped the team to achieve “something magical” in the 2015/2016 season.
This is the first season of a new three-year broadcasting deal for domestic and global rights worth a record 8.3 billion pounds ($10.8 billion) – 71 percent above the previous deal – and clubs have used that windfall to spend around $1 billion this offseason. But inside, there’s a calm and calculated technician who knows how to get the best out of his players, which he showed as coach at the European Championship where Italy went out in the quarterfinals against Germany on penalty kicks.
“He stays with us”, Ranieri told Sky Sports.
Having lost only three times in 38 league games, no-one could quibble about Leicester’s right to call themselves English champions for the first time.
Ranieri expects Mahrez, 25, to carry last season’s form into the new campaign and avoid becoming distracted by transfer speculation.
“We needed to be a little lucky”. He is the winger and if no one passes to the wingers, I can pass the ball from the bench. I believe in something good. In the training sessions he is the same. “40 points again, it is very important”, he added.
“It’s not a problem”.
The fact that he was appointed manager of the Foxes the following summer, with the club deciding to dispense with the services of Nigel Pearson, who had just kept the club up, with a run of seven wins from their final nine games, raised eyebrows.

Ranieri remains confident Riyad Mahrez will also stay at the champions with last year’s PFA Player of the Year linked with Arsenal.
