Today starts an unsettled stretch of showers and storms

Highs will be more seasonable in the lower 80s. It will be warm and muggy with lows only in the lower 70s. A break in the rain will occur through early afternoon, but showers and storms will fire up this afternoon. Highs will get back to the low 90s as we lower our rain chances. Each day will be hot and humid, with afternoon highs in the 90s. This is why the NWS has issued at Flood Watch going until 7 AM Saturday.

We will likely see some sunshine during the afternoon, but plan on at least a 50 percent chance for rain.

The National Weather Service says “scattered showers and thunderstorms” could produce heavy rain. Highs around 92 feeling like 100-105. Southwest wind 6 to 10 miles per hour. Skies will be partly cloudy for the evening.

Sunshine has been in very limited supply, and temperatures are in the 80s.

Scattered to numerous showers and storms continue to move westward across Alabama today, on top of an upper low near Mobile… Lows around 78. Wind W/SW 5-10 miles per hour.

THURSDAY: Cloudy and warm with an 80% chance for showers or thunderstorms.some heavy rain possible.

Winds will be ~5 miles per hour. There will be isolated shower or storm along the sea breeze in the afternoon. Lows around 77. Wind SW 6-12 miles per hour. Highs around 86. Wind SW 8-15 miles per hour.

Chances of Thunderstorms remain in the forecast through Saturday with a big cool-down coming by the end of the week.
