Shah Rukh Khan announced that he was detained the by the immigration officers at the airport on his Twitter account.
While Nita, wife of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, and the rest of their group were cleared immediately, Khan was stopped and was given immigration clearance only after about two hours.
The Bollywood star on Friday tweeted that he was disappointed of being detained by USA immigration officials every time he passes through a United States airport. “The brighter side is while waiting caught some really nice Pokemons”, the actor tweeted. Addressing students at Yale, he said: “We were detained at the airport as always”.
In an interview given to the news agency PTI in February this year, the actor had said he doesn’t hold any grudges for the incident that occurred in 2012. One has to see it in a larger context, it’s a sign of the times.
