The case is playing out in the northern Lower Peninsula in what would be the tip of the index finger on the mitten. When troopers in northern MI started looking for her, they learned she had left her boyfriend after an argument and was later seen at a local bar.
The AP reported Young was allegedly seen leaving the Cabin Bar and Grill in Onaway with Walker on Sunday, July 31.
On August 9th troopers along with several other law enforcement agencies from the area executed a search warrant at a residence on Rainy Lake Road in Millersburg. There, police say, they found remains believed to be those of Young in a wooded area.
It’s not clear how she died.
The body is undergoing an autopsy in Grand Rapids to determine cause of death as the crime lab processes two scenes.
On Aug. 2, the family of Heather Young, a 42-year-old woman, reported her missing to the Michigan State Police (MSP) Post in Marshall.
A release was sent out by police on Friday, Aug. 5, requesting the public’s help locating Young. It’s also not clear how he is connected to Young.
