Johnson and Efron will join forces as two lifeguards trying to “save their beach from environmental destruction at the hands of an oil tycoon”, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Like me when I drink”.
The film is based on a classic TV series of the same name. It’s unclear if any of them will appear in the big-screen version.
“It’s going to be R-rated and it’s going to be badass”, the actor told Reuters Tuesday.
Although the movie is in preliminary levels, Efron stated he was wanting ahead to it departing from the TV present that starred David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson and virtually all the time featured a rescue at sea, regardless of how tangential to the plot.
“We Are Your Friends” will be released in British cinemas on August 27. But now that the reincarnation has nabbed itself a director in disgusting Bosses Seth Gordon, and an excited Efron, it looks like the beach drama is finally moving full steam ahead.
