Ten Vikings Sit Out First Joint Practice With Bengals
The countdown has begun. Weekend football starts Friday, August 12, for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Waynes succumbed to hot and humid conditions Wednesday, the first day of joint practices, but returned Thursday and is expected to start the exhibition. They have a great coach in Mike Zimmer and have the offense and defense to not only win the division, but make a deep run in the postseason.
Joint practices are not a new fad.
Veteran cornerback Terence Newman didn’t make the trip to OH this week as the Vikings held two days of joint practices with one of his former clubs, the Cincinnati Bengals. Things fell through and it didn’t happen. The Bengals, similar to the Vikings, like to show and disguise where the intended pressure on the quarterback might be coming from. “It was great these past two days competing against the Cincinnati Bengals”. They’re not just a scheme to draw more interest in the Bengals. Lewis likes to work out against opposing teams during training camp; it’s more of a challenge.
The practices will offer a good measuring stick for the Vikings against a team that has made the playoffs five straight seasons and past year won the AFC North with a 12-4 record.
“I think (the practices will be) good”.
That did two things for former Alabama All-American Andre Smith: Loadholt’s retirement put him on the inside track to handle the duty at right offensive tackle for the Vikings in the 2016 season and allowed him to reclaim 71 as his jersey number.
The joint practices will be at Paul Brown Stadium. The sessions will be open to the public. “We got a lot of work done”.
“I do agree with the fans that preseason is lackluster”, Whitworth continued. “There are ways you can fix that”. There are a lot of the players here that I coached.
Emboldened by their hold on the NFC North title but bothered by the one-point loss to Seattle at home in the playoffs, the Vikings have spoken often this year of the strength of their chemistry, the tussle on Tuesday between nose tackle Linval Joseph and right guard Brandon Fusco notwithstanding. In his first two seasons, Smith played in 13 games.
“Mike kind of looks at it as his baby, which is cool”, Marvin Lewis said. Bridgewater has to learn to leverage that fact and take full advantage of it passing down the field when safeties creep too close to the line of scrimmage. We changed a couple of things. That’s when cool heads have to prevail. Any altercations will be dealt with swiftly.
FLINT, Mich. – Ex-NFL player Andre Rison, who’s accused of violating his probation in a child support case, says he’ll turn himself in after a judge in MI signed an arrest warrant for him.
“Usually we look forward going against other guys”.

“I know (offensive line coach) Tony (Sparano) is going to push him and drive him and keep on him and keep working him”, Zimmer said. Waynes started out with the first team – an injured Terence Newman did not make the trip – but was replaced about a third of the way through the practice by Jabari Price after he was ailing. “Each and every individual”, said linebacker Emmanuel Lamur, who signed with the Vikings this year.
