Shots fired in Ferguson after vehicle hits protester
It’s been two years since the shooting death of unarmed Black teen Mike Brown in Ferguson, Missouri by police officer Darren Wilson on August 9, 2014.

Regardless of the footage, spokesman Jeff Small told the St. Louis Dispatch police that he doesn’t think the driver purposely hit the victim, but that it was more so an accident.
Police later said the crash was not intentional and the driver, who has been questioned by police, did not see the protester.
A small group of protesters has taken to the streets in Ferguson, Missouri, on the second anniversary of Michael Brown’s death.
He was left badly injured and was taken in a private vehicle to hospital.
This isn’t the first time that “mostly peaceful” Black Lives Matter protesters in Ferguson have pulled out guns and started shooting at people. As a crowd quickly gathered around the injured man, police say multiple gunshots were fired at the vehicle. Then, multiple bullets were fired at the auto while witnesses rushed the victim from the scene.
Twitter users reported later on in the evening a man in a wheelchair was tasered by police officers and put into a police auto. No arrests were made.
The Tuesday night protest took place near and in the street, and the demonstrators sometimes impeded traffic, but retreated from the roadway when warned by police.
Also on Tuesday, about 30 Black Lives Matter protesters interrupted a show at the Muny.
A state grand jury declined to press charges against Wilson and the USA justice department later cleared him, concluding that he had acted in self-defence.
The shooting did lead to a consent decree requiring more training for Ferguson police officers, policy changes to decrease the use of force and a more robust system for citizens to make complaints against officers.
