White Mother in Mississippi Not Indicted in Hot Car Death
But that is where the similarities end for Amy Bryant and Joshua Grant.

The Madison County grand jury has decided not to indict Amy Bryant, the mother of Caroline Bryant, the baby who died after being left in the vehicle in a daycare parking lot.
The name of the mother in Madison has not been released by The Clarion-Ledger because charges were not brought against her initially, nor was she indicted.
Shania Rihanna Caradine, died eight days after another young child died in a hot auto in another MS county.
Blunt then took a break to pick up his girlfriend and Shania. Blunt said the day he went to work was initially his day off, but made a decision to go in to pick up an extra shift and forgot to drop his daughter off at his grandmother’s before walking into work. They took Shania inside the restaurant and put cool towels on her to await an ambulance that took her to the University of Mississippi Medical Center Grenada.
Moore called the charges against Blunt “unacceptable and reprehensible”.
Guest was unavailable for extended comment Thursday because he was still in court with a Rankin County grand jury. He has said Blunt, now free on bail, does not plan to accept a plea bargain.
“I do recognize we are in MS and race plays a great factor in our criminal justice system of who is arrested, indicted and convicted”, Moore said Thursday.
“I do not believe Joshua Blunt should be charged with any crime in relation to the death of our daughter, Shania Caradine”, the affidavit states.
“I was led to believe by the District Attorney’s office that they were pushing the case so hard because the mother wanted my client to do jail time”.
With the affidavit, Blunt’s attorney, Carlos Moore, said that he hopes that Grenada County District Attorney Doug Evans will drop the charges, adding that his understanding was that Evans was pursuing the charge at the mother’s request. The felony charge is punishable by two to 20 years in prison.
Evans said the affidavit would not affect the prosecution of the case.

Blunt’s trial is set for August 18 but a continuance is expected to be filed by Friday citing a schedule conflict as his reasoning.
