Turkey offers Russia joint operations against IS in Syria
However, instead of going back home, the three diplomats, including Chargé d’Affaires of Turkish Embassy Ahmed Gurbuz, left Dhaka for the United States and Russian Federation, diplomatic sources said. He said in an interview with Turkey’s private NTV television that Ankara “will again, in an active manner, with its planes take part in operations” against IS targets. He might also get a softer Turkish attitude toward both Russia’s treatment of Crimean Tatars in Ukraine and toward Syria’s Bashar Assad, a man Putin considers an ally and Erdogan has denounced as an enemy.

“Let us come together to concentrate our efforts on Daesh”, he said using an Arabic name for the IS group.
The minister noted that Turkey and Russian Federation can start joint fight against the “Islamic State” terrorist group (aka IS, ISIL, ISIS, or Daesh).
A group of rogue soldiers attempted to overthrow the government on July 15, commandeering tanks, helicopters and warplanes, but the putsch failed when thousands of Turks responded to calls of support from President Tayyip Erdogan and took the streets.
Putin had threatened to cancel the pipeline that would run from Russia to Turkey, and potentially the rest of Europe, after relations between the two nations collapsed when Turkish jets shot down a Russian fighter jet over Syria last November. Artillery fire directed at IS has continued, however. “The Turkish Air Force will in the future take a more active part in operations against the Islamic State as part of the worldwide coalition”, he pledged. One official said the foreign ministry sent instructions to Turkish diplomatic missions around the world where those suspected of links to the plotters were thought to be working, ordering them back to Ankara as part of the investigations.
“I believe the mechanism will contribute to this process”, he added.
He also pointed out that Turkey and Russian Federation have a common position on the issue of Syria’s territorial integrity.
The waiver is part of a package of incentives – including up to 6 billion euros ($6.7 billion) in funds for Syrian refugees in Turkey and fast track European Union membership talks – the European Union has offered to persuade Ankara to stop migrants coming to Europe and take back thousands more.
“Many countries are engaged in Syria actively”.

According to CBC News, foreign affairs analyst Tony Brenton said that the West should not be surprised with the steps taken by the two countries as worldwide relations remain to be “a pretty pragmatic business”.
