The insane fool has been identified as Stephen Rogata – his aim was to give Donald Trump a message but he was stopped on the 21st floor and later arrested by the New York Police.
The stunt drew hundreds of onlookers onto the sidewalks below and countless more to computer screens, where they watched as officers finally grabbed him and pulled him through a 21st-story window after removing the glass panel.
Rogata was undergoing a psychological evaluation at Bellevue Hospital, according to ABC7.
Police trying to corner him cut open windows while others were lowered in large buckets to surround him.
The climber has a backpack and appears to be using ropes and a harness to fasten himself to the side of the 58-story Manhattan skyscraper.
Rogata was attempting to climb all the way to the top of Trump Tower to speak with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
It wasn’t immediately clear if Rogata has an attorney. Did he want to express his disappointment with Trump Steaks?
In a weird video posted to YouTube before his climb, he revealed he’s a Trump supporter who climbed the building to get the real estate tycoon’s attention. The hotel is located 3.8 miles away from the Trump Tower.
“I reached out. I took hold of his hand, and I said, ‘Sir, would you come with me?'” said Christopher Williams, the detective who made the grab.
In the video, he discusses wanting to meet Trump, and says he is a “private researcher”. “Believe me, if my objective was not significant, I would not risk my life pursuing it. Police officials said he told them about a YouTube video he posted on Tuesday that explained his motives”.
(Man) “I think he had too many cups of coffee”. He “performed a ridiculous and risky stunt”, a statement from Trump Organization executive Michael Cohen was quoted.

Trump later tweeted Wednesday about the incident, saying, “Great job today by the NYPD in protecting the people and saving the climber”.
