Long Island woman has twin’s baby after cancer diagnosis
Her sister, Dawn Ardolino Policastro, came to her side in a way only a sister could.

A pregnancy photo shoot the sisters did has gone viral, with one picture in particular getting attention: It shows Allison standing just in front of Dawn, who is holding a sign reading, “Shhh…It’s a boy!”
She delivered the healthy baby boy by C-section just a week later, on her – and her sister’s – 33rd birthday.
Six years ago, twin Allison Ardolino-Dinkelacker was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer while she was 30-weeks pregnant with her first child, their friend Allison Maffettone said. Yet she desperately wanted another child.
Dawn gave birth to her nephew, Hudson, on August 5.
A lady has given her twin sister the last word present – by carrying her child to time period after breast most cancers stole her alternative to have one other youngster.
Banks and her husband have welcomed both their sons via a gestational carrier. As he began to explain that another pregnancy wouldn’t be possible, Allison says Dawn inserted herself, saying, “It doesn’t matter because I am going to carry their child”.
On her Facebook page, Allison wrote: “How can we begin to thank you for the tremendous generosity and sacrifice you have so willingly bestowed these last few months?”
“When most people would have given up during the struggles we endured, you just pushed through it all”, Allison wrote. “You deserve a medal of courage, of compassion, and of selflessness”.
As photographer Allison Rose shared photos of the women, she shared their special story.
Dawn has two of her own sons, seven-year-old Jake and three-year-old Ashton.

Allison wore a “delicate white dress with lace detailing” even as Dawn wore a “strapless maxi dress with a colorful design”. Allison’s son Dylan is now six.
