A medical helicopter was called to the park and flew the boy to a Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, said WPXI.

“It was during the middle part of the roller coaster ride track”, Idlewild spokesman Jeff Croushore told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. His name hasn’t been released. He is said to be in critical condition.

According to NBC, the boy “tumbled” from the roller coaster.

It has been a traumatic week for families whose children were victims of amusement park tragedies.

Croushore said in the news conference today that rides at Idlewild are inspected daily.

This is the third incident involving an amusement park in the last five days.

To ride solo you have to be 48-inches tall and to ride with an adult you have to be 36-inches tall.

According to the park’s website, there are at least two roller coasters, the Wild Mouse and the Rollo Coaster.
