According to the details provided of this incident, these women would go around in different hospitals and maternity homes across Peshawar and act as the staff there, all the while being involved in their heinous activities.
In a major breakthrough, Peshawar police arrested the seven-member of the gang including two men and five women, police said adding the suspected abductors were involved in kidnapping the newborns from hospitals and maternity homes across the city and selling them for a price ranging between Rs 70,000 to 300,000.

“During interrogation, Jia confessed that she has made a deal with Nadir Shah to deliver him a baby for Rs300,000”.
The other members of the gang are yet to be arrested and they too are from the same field.
Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) revealed that the group has sold nine newborns till now, out of which, an eleven days old baby girl has been recovered so far.
The gang, allegedly hand over dead babies to parents, with the help of inside hospital connections and sell the newborn babies to buyers.
Pakistan has seen several high-profile cases of baby abductions recently.
In January past year, a baby boy was allegedly kidnapped from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims), Islamabad before the parents could even get a proper look at their loved one.

Talking to The Express Tribune, Shazia Zia, the boy’s mother, said “It happened because of the security lapse”.
