Traore and Chelsea have also agreed to send the 20-year-old to Ajax on loan, in order to continue his development.

3/8/16 Chelsea’s Bertrand Traore celebrates scoring a goal.

Considering 36-year-old Dirk Kuyt scored 19 league goals in Holland last season, Traore could well produce big numbers this term, especially now that he is playing for a title-challenger, rather than a midtable side like Vitesse.

“Yes, it’s confirmed and he’s going to on loan to Ajax”, Blues boss Antonio Conte said. So the club has opted to find him a home where he should receive more regular starts. “Nemanja is a Chelsea player”, said the Italian. “I learnt a lot from him, I enjoyed it and there were some good combinations between the two of us which was nice”. It’s important to improve the squad but right now I’m very happy to work with these players because they’ve shown me great commitment every day and that important for me.
