Lagos Lagoon Crash: NCAA Identifies Crashed Helicopter

Following the Helicopter Crash this afternoon, Three dead bodies have now been recovered from the carcass in the lagoon at the Oworosoki area of Lagos.

A source close to National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed to a SaharaReporters correspondent that six people have been rescued from the helicopter crash in Lagos.

Dati said four people died and eight survived.

Mr. Farinloye, however, said that his agency has not received any distress alert from chopper on its mission control centre.

The helicopter which crashed behind the King’s palace was said to have caused pandemonium as the residents scampered to safety.

He said already all the primary and secondary responders are moving in to ascertain the damage. A rescue operation was continuing.

She later went to the hospitals where those rescued were taken to ensure they were well taken care of.

Bristow said it is now working to confirm the number of people on board, their identities and the extent of any injuries.

Emergency responders at the scene were LASEMA, police, NEMA, Navy, Fire Services, among others.
