It’s likely two versions will be released – an iPhone 7 Plus, which would be 5.5-inches, and the regular iPhone 7 at 4.7-inches – and there may be an introduction of new colours. Last we heard yesterday, Apple had allegedly made a last-minute decision to cut the model variety from three to the usual two. Will you buy the first, second, or third model? But it seems Apple’s strategy to sell the iPhone SE is going just how they planned it.
Analysts have been saying for some time that Apple is planning to move to a three-year design refresh cycle, suggesting the next major update would come in 2017. The number and size of the leaked photos and rumors have increased steadily as September approaches, and more of the same should be expected in the coming weeks.
The most unsurprising development of the iPhone 7 is the removal of the analog headphone jack. Instead, we’ll either be using Bluetooth or the Lightning port to listen to music.
