Simone Biles put NBC gymnastic commentator, Al Trautwig, in his place after he refused to address her parents as her “parents” reason being she’s adopted.

By now most have heard the life-story of USA Olympic gymnast, Simone Biles. Their birth mother struggled to care for them; he brought them to live permanently with him and wife Nellie on Christmas Eve 2002, when Simone was 5, and the couple legally adopted them the following year.
A 2011 report by DHHS on racial disproportionality noted that, after controlling for poverty and other risk factors, parents of one race were no more likely to mistreat their children than peers of another race.Nonetheless, reports on black children were more likely to be screened for investigation than white children.
Someone with the Twitter handle “Gym Nerd” wrote to Trautwig that “you may be in Rio but at least I’m passionate about my job, and respected for it”.
Shanon has been arrested at least 20 times over the past 20 years – once when she was pregnant with Simone – for crimes including assault, theft, disorderly conduct, driving under the influence and drug paraphernalia possession.
By the time she was two, however, she was in foster care.
“I think everyone out there, we all performed how we trained, and that’s all very special-something we have to keep for team finals and any event finals that we qualified for”, Biles said, according to CNN.
She said comments typically come from the adopted child’s peers in school who are curious about families that look different from their own.

“I feel like they’re defaming my character”, Shanon said to TMZ. Every detail of her life is available for consumption, and so of course it’s interesting to us that she comes from a relatively unique (though not that uncommon) background. I am his first born and he could have been a little bit more classy with it.
When Nellie Biles sends sweet notes to Simone on Twitter, she signs them “Mom”. “Go Team USA. I’ll see you when I can”. “She thought it was the funniest thing ever to call me mom”. To Simone, her biggest fan is her mom, Nellie. You don’t have to compete against anybody.
