The renowned author has quite a number of books to her credit and sometimes she spends more time giving open lectures around the country.

The Greece-born Arianna Huffington was first cast into public spotlight in the 1990s during the failed Senate bid of her now ex-husband, Michael Huffington. But now she realized she can not run both projects and made a decision.
Arianna Huffington is the chair, president, and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post Media Group, a nationally syndicated columnist, and author.
World-renowned entrepreneur Arianna Huffington has stepped down as the editor-of-chief at The Huffington Post as she embarks on the next major phase of her career journey.
These are the milestones that led Huffington to Thrive Global.
While that’s one real and also expedient explanation, another, as tendered by Recode and surely others, has to do with a crowding of the Huffington Post and a potentially forced change of her role there.
The Huffington Post was launched in 2005 as a liberal-leaning news aggregation site.
Huffington said the Yahoo buyout had nothing to do with her decision to leave, according to an article on The Huffington Post.
Investors in Thrive Global include NBA basketball star Andre Iguodala and philanthropist Sean Parker.
The series A funding for Thrive Global – which will officially launch in November – was headed up by Lerer Hippeau Ventures.
In an article announcing the departure, Michael Calderone, senior media reporter at The Huffington Post, said: “Her decision was not tied to Verizon buying Yahoo, a purchase that she said would be great for HuffPost because of the incredible distribution it can provide for our content”.
The news website was acquired by AOL Inc.in 2011 for $315 million. The site recently drew almost 200 million monthly unique visitors globally.
Despite its success, it was sold in 2011 and sold again previous year but this time, the buyer did not purchase the HuffPost directly.
After achieving a high profile as a media executive, Huffington’s interest in balancing work and rest increased over time. It was a coincidence that it happened following the AOL buyout.
And shortly after, Huffington had won a Pulitzer Prize, was named in Time Magazine’s list of the world’s 100 most influential people and Forbes listed her among the most powerful women.
HuffPost CEO Jared Grust assure the staff on Thursday that the company is stable although the AOL purchase remains undefined.
Huffington said that companies always succeed after their founders and stated that the website has a strong essence.
