Doctor Who series nine trailer: Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman battle Daleks
The Doctor and Clara’s new journeys will take them to deadly alien planets, creepy underwater bases, Vikings villages, a global Zygon uprising and hidden alien dens, to the very end of time itself. An earlier trailer gave viewers a taste of what kinds of wild and insane adventures the season holds, but this new one largely focuses on the Doctor dealing with his many, many enemies.

Peter Capaldi is on top form as The Twelfth Doctor with his guitar-playing antics (Rocktor Who, anyone?), horse-riding (second year in a row), peace sign waving (a la Matt Smith) and his cool shades, which seem to have become quite the feature for the Gallifreyan this year.
Reece Shearsmith, Rebecca Front, Rufus Hound, Paul Kaye, Elaine Tan, Neet Mohan, Bethany Black, Paul Courtenay Hyu, Joivan Wade, and Sophie Stone will all make guest appearances on Doctor Who this season as well.
Here’s the first trailer once more, in the event you missed it previously, or just want to check it out again in the wake of this new footage.
Doctor Who returns to BBC America on Saturday, September 19, 2015. The Doctor’s Finest special episodes include interviews with the show’s cast and creators, fan insight, and a look at how each episode fits into the canon of the Whovian universe. This time we see Maisie and Clara wearing woolly waistcoats, and Maisie in conversation with a well-dressed cat-like creature – make of that what you will. Can Doctor Who make it to its 60th anniversary?
