The Killjoys Can Leave Harley Quinn Alone Now, Thanks

The Joker (Jared Leto) will make an appearance in “Suicide Squad”. But one fan feels he should have had more screen time. “Not for anything specifically, but just something – there’s so much more to do”. Still, the Margot Robbie and Will Smith-led movie is more than likely moving forward with a sequel! He’s there mostly to provided background motivation for Harley Quinn in flashbacks; his role in the main film’s storyline is totally irrelevant to what the Suicide Squad is doing and what they want to achieve.

“Suicide Squad” hit British and American theaters last August 5. But that’s not what I think people mean when they ask for an R-rated version, so it was always meant to be a PG-13.

$175 million was Suicide Squad’s production budget, and as you can see they’ve totally blown past that.

We’ve talked extensively about Suicide Squad’s success despite all the negative commentary surrounding the film. Who the hell does this Joker think he is, with those awkwardly on-the-nose tattoos and…gold grills?

Though the release of David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” was met with another divisive reaction from the fans, there’s no harm in admitting that the movie’s decision to cast Margot Robbie as the Joker’s maniacal girlfriend was anything less than ideal. If you haven’t best turn back now, because there are spoilers for the film below – and also, basically the rest of the DC Extended Movie Universe, but we’ll get to that in due time.

As for the “damaged” tattoo – and I kind-of like this one – the Joker actually got this as a response to Batman beating him to a pulp saying “You’ve damaged me”. And then Batman gave the Joker quite a beatdown over the death of his sidekick. I was so attractive before and now you’ve destroyed my face.’ That’s where the grill comes from.

Explaining the director’s decision to edit out the pair’s backstory from the final release, Margot said, “When we were filming, we probably got a bit too engrossed”.
