Will Apple Launch An ‘All Glass’ iPhone?
Hundreds of people had waited in a line that went around the block through the night in order to be among the first people to buy the new smartphone, which comes in two versions: the Apple iPhone 6 and the somewhat larger Apple iPhone 6 Plus. The iPhone lineup as a whole actually gained ground in USA year-over-year, rising to 31.8 percent from 30.5 percent market share. As of now, we aren’t aware of the A10’s capabilities but as per the usual cycle, it should bring in better power-efficiency, improved multitasking support, reduced battery consumption and faster speeds compared to the A9 processor which powered iPhone 6s, 6s Plus and iPhone SE.

“Apple’s second quarter saw the Cupertino-based giant ship 40.4 million iPhones, representing a 15.0% year-over-year decline from the 47.5 million units shipped last year”, says IDC.
In the United Kingdom, the iPhone SE was the top selling device in the quarter at 9.2 percent, followed by the iPhone 6s at 9.1 percent.
Sunnebo added that “iOS also experienced continued momentum in France, at 20.2% of smartphone sales”.
OK great, so when will we actually get to see it?
Nonetheless, Kantar Worldpanel revealed that the iOS has posted a significant growth in Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, France, which are collectively known as EU5, and the U.S. during the recently-concluded three-month period.
In the US, Android accounted for 65.5 percent of smartphone sales, down from last year’s 66.1 percent.
It is also worth noting that Apple’s overall gross margin for its most recent quarter dropped to below 38 percent on account of the iPhone SE, even after the smartphone delivered increased market share for the company. In markets such as China and India. After yet more decline, Apple is now placed behind Huawei and Xiaomi, in third place with just 17.9% of the Chinese market.
Kantar analyst Lauren Guenveur noted it will be interesting to track iOS growth through Q3. “This is popularity is likely due to the newly released iPhone SE which is now the only widely sold 4-inch device”, the study shows. But data also shows 49 per cent of U.S. iPhone owners and 51 per cent of Chinese iPhones owners are on an iPhone 5s or older, meaning the opportunity to upgrade exists, says the research firm.

The only hint at what the next iPhones will be called came from a sketchy rumor from a German Apple blog called Apfelpage.de, which claimed it will be called the “iPhone SE”. Now a new report purportedly confirms two major features they should sport.
