Twitter’s Full Archive Search API Lets Companies Access Every Tweet Ever Made
And the data isn’t just limited to nine years. Its Historical PowerTrack and 30-Day Search API tools helped its customers analyze archived posts for audience insights, and that capability is expanded today with access to “any historical public tweet” from the full nine years Twitter has existed.

The new Full Archive Search API will be based on Gnip’s two previous tools, but it will give developers full access to all the user’s tweets.
Gnip Inc. tweeted, “Introducing the Full-Archive Search API, answering the enterprise need for instant access to any public Tweet – ever”.
According to Gnip, companies like PayPal and Simply Measured have already used the service, which is mainly intended for businesses to gather insight for use in marketing campaigns. They will also be able to use these historical tweets to provide context to customers, check up on how customer relations are faring when dealing with customers, and see what kind of gripes customers have had over the years. Whenever one wants to access a tweet about anything, he can use this tool to look for those tweets.

McInnes added that Brandwatch is now working to integrate the Full-Archive Search API into its own platform “to provide this historical Twitter data retrieval as soon as possible to our clients”. Its most recent earnings report for Q2 2015 showed the company had quarterly revenues of $502 million, up 61 percent over the same quarter in 2014, and 316 million monthly active users, a 15 percent increase over the 308 million users reported in Q1 2015.
