The up and coming fantasy-adventure movie “Fantastic Beasts” is getting a sequel even before its first movie hits the theaters.

The highly anticipated flicks, which are expected to be part of a trilogy, center on new stories within the wizarding world summoned up by “Harry Potter” creator J.K. Rowling.

Rowling collaborated with playwright Jack Thorne and director John Tiffany on “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”, which picks up the boy wizard’s story nearly two decades later and focuses on Potter’s youngest son, Albus.

That title is now held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, according toThe Bookseller.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is set to release on November 17, 2016. Warner Bros. announced Wednesday that the second film would be released in November 2018 and that Rowling, who wrote the script for the first movie, would do the same for the second. Director David Yates will return as well.

He said, “When we adapted the books, we’d always have to leave out things you hated leaving out because they didn’t quite work in the structure of the storytelling for the movie”.

A sequel to the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” has been announced with a release date attached.

The 34 year old English actor, Eddie Redmayne, plays the role of Newt Scamander in “Fantastic Beasts”.
