Felicity Jones on playing the “unlikely heroine” of Rogue One
The new trailer confirms that Erso’s mission is to gather a team, infiltrate the newly-constructed Death Star and steal the plans (later to be given R2-D2 for delivery to Leia’s “only hope”). Do you have chills right now? The movie, directed by Gareth Edwards, also stars Oscar victor Forest Whitaker.

On Thursday, Disney and Lucasfilm released a new “Rogue One” movie trailer that put all our worries on hold. [Former Galactic Senator] Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) is ultimately, for Jyn, someone she looks up to.
“The Theory of Everything” actress Felicity Jones plays feisty lead character Jyn Erso, whose rebellious streak was first shown in a trailer released in April. “The world is coming undone”, he says.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is due to hit theatres on December 16 in both the United States and United Kingdom, while our Aussie pals will get the film a day earlier for some reason.
The movie will be the newest “Star Wars” movie after last December’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, which was the first “Star Wars” film in a decade. In the Celebration snippets, we saw Jyn Erso as a young girl in the aftermath of what may have been an attack on her homeworld.
There’s a brand new Rogue One trailer out, have you watched it??
The billion-dollar franchise scored a hit a year ago with the release of J.J. Abrams’ “The Force Awakens”, and Disney executives hope to continue the momentum with director Gareth Edwards at the helm.
