Who is right, Donald Trump or Megyn Kelly?

Trump’s campaign so far has been dominated by one firestorm after the next, the latest involving Fox News personality Megyn Kelly’s debate questions. He instead clarified his “blood” remarks and called everyone a deviant in the process.

His return to the network Tuesday morning made no mention of his spat with Kelly, other than host Steve Doocy’s greeting, in which he welcomed Trump and said, “Glad we’re friends again”.

Kelly asked Trump about comments he’s made about women in the past, calling them “fat pigs” and “dogs”.

“I think the poll numbers indicate that maybe it’s troubling for her“, he said”. Trump’s most controversial comments have been added. Quoth Donald Trump: “I cherish women”! (Mr Trump has since said it was not a reference to menstruation.).

“Apparently Mr. Trump thought the question I asked was unfair and felt I was attacking him“.

“I have nothing against Megyn Kelly”, he said. She is a brilliant journalist and I support her 100 percent.

The feud seemed to show signs of improvement Monday when the network’s chairman, Roger Ailes, reached out to Trump directly, assuring him he’ll be “treated fairly” by the network, Trump tweeted Monday.

“While what Donald Trump said about Megyn Kelly is outrageous, what the rest of the Republicans are saying about all women is also outrageous”, she told residents during a campaign stop in Exeter, New Hampshire.

Trump has also refused to apologize for suggesting in July that Arizona Senator John McCain is not a war hero “because he was captured” and spent five years as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.

The most recent poll of the Republican field in Iowa by Suffolk University shows Trump leading the field, with 19 per cent of the vote, against Scott Walker’s 15 per cent. That’s is a reversal of two previous polls, which had Walker ahead of Trump.

But it isn’t Trump who is causing the biggest problems for Kelly. And I certainly will not apologize for doing good journalism. “But I do want to keep that door open in case I don’t get treated fairly”.

“This is a tough business, and it’s time now to move forward”, Kelly concluded. “We had a blunt but cordial conversation and the air has been cleared”.
