LeBron James is set to become the highest-paid National Basketball Association player ever after he reached a three-year, $100 million deal with the reigning champions Cleveland Cavaliers and will join Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant as the only three players who have exceeded the $30 million salary per season mark in their respective careers. Even Kevin Durant, who is now part of the lineup including Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, failed to catch the interest of the Kyrie Irving team.
“I’m ecstatic”, James continued. “I’m really excited about moving forward with this group of guys and continuing to play in front of the best fans in the world”.
