No Man’s Sky’s critical issues are getting a patch soon

Plus, with Sony’s representative taking the reins soon after the Hello Games founder was asked about No Man’s Sky making the jump to Xbox One, it seems as if the publisher wants to control such information until it’s good and ready to share it with the public in a sanctioned capacity. If a player doesn’t feel like it, they never have to leave the first planet they’re on.

Murray adds that players who might have run into an issue where they don’t have a hyperdrive in their ship are usually directed “to a nearby NPC who will give the player the hyperdrive they need”, while others were able to resolve the issue by restarting their console.

Murray added that they had already released a patch to help rectify numerous issues now plaguing the No Man’s Sky PC version, and hopefully following the above instructions irons out any other problems that players may be experiencing.

Meanwhile, Hello Games is also trying to put out the small-but-persistent fires in the PlayStation 4 version.

Ars Technica mentioned how the game received “mostly negative” reviews when it launched on PC and how complaints about framerate hitches and system crashes have piled up some issues on the game. Although when it launched on PC, a number of glitches and crashes may have given the game a rough time.

To help it deal with mounting customer issues, the studio is contracting with an outside quality assurance firm – a company larger than Hello Games itself – to handle customer feedback.

Murray provided the following workarounds if you come across a performance problem prior to the new patch. “We sincerely apologize to anyone affected in the meantime”.
