Trump Backs Off Claims Obama Founded ISIS: ‘It Was Sarcasm’
“Our government isn’t giving us good protection”. Shiftingt he blame to Obama on Wednesday, he said “crooked Hillary Clinton” was actually the group’s co-founder.

But Friday, a Trump tweet finally backed off his repeated claims that included a disagreement with a conservative talk show host who challenged him about whether they literally founded the group declaring, “No, I meant that he’s the founder of ISIS, I do”.
“No, Barack Obama is not the founder of ISIS”, she wrote.
Appearing in Miami Beach, Florida, on Thursday morning, Trump repeated his attack for the third time, saying the US government “has unleashed ISIS”.
“He gets the most valuable player award”.
“I call him a founder. I give her, too, by the way, Hillary Clinton”, Trump was quoted as saying by CNN.
“ISIS will hand her the most valuable player award”, he said of Clinton, 68.
“They screwed everything up”, Hewitt allowed, “But by using the term founder, they’re hitting with you on this again”.
“Is there something wrong with saying that? Why?”
The Isis controversy comes after Trump faced backlash over his hint that gun rights supporters might attack Clinton, something that seemed to cause genuine shock in a country that has grown used to Trump pushing the boundaries of appropriate political discourse. Now that the Associated Press has made itself the truth police, I look forward to its commentaries on the Democrats’ many over-the-top pronouncements. I’m a truth teller.
“We should knock them out”.
“Last night, you said the President was the founder of ISIS”, Hewitt said.
Trump has long blamed Obama and his former secretary of state – Clinton – for pursuing Mideast policies that created a power vacuum in Iraq that was exploited by IS, another acronym for the group.
“Donald Trump should apologize for his outrageous, unhinged and patently false suggestions on the founding of ISIS”, the DNC said in a statement. “I do”, Trump interrupted Hewitt to say. “He’s the most valuable player”.
Jake Sullivan, senior policy adviser to Hillary Clinton.
But critics of Trump continued to question his strategy of speaking in a brash language that undermines his message. “He hates them. He’s trying to kill them”, Hewitt said, but found himself unable to budge Trump, at the time, from his position.
“He was the founder, absolutely”, Trump said Thursday on CNBC, echoing comments he made the previous night during a rally near Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Obama eventually stopped taking credit after the rise of ISIS, and even expressed disbelief anyone would assume the decision to withdraw from Iraq was his.
For anyone anxious that Donald Trump will foment a wave of political violence following his increasingly probable loss this November, we’ve got good news and bad news. They’d come in. You ever negotiate with the Chinese? They’re tough. They’re tough. “You gotta him them back with a lot of energy”.

Trump’s remarks are being seen as an escalation in attacks on Clinton, whom he is trailing badly not only in countrywide polls but also in crucial swing states that will determine the race.
