“We believe that Donald Trump’s divisiveness, recklessness, incompetence, and record-breaking unpopularity risk turning this election into a Democratic landslide”, the letter states.

A spokesman for the RNC did not immediately respond to request for comment.
The latest GOP defections to Clinton’s campaign includes former Reps. Tom Coleman of Missouri, Mickey Edwards of Oklahoma, Christopher Shays of CT and Vin Weber of Minnesota. In an interview with the Yale Free Press, YUCAT founder and president Alexander Michaud ’17 said the group plans to endorse a third-party candidate and campaign against Trump.
So far, the letter has been signed by a number of key former party staff members and officials. Politico reported that it began circulating this week and is expected to be sent to Priebus next week.
“This should not be a hard decision, as Donald Trump’s chances of being elected president are evaporating by the day”, the letter reads, before listing their grievances with the Republican nominee.
Clinton has the backing of 94% of Democrats nationally, while Trump has the support of 87% of Republicans, according to a new Bloomberg Politics poll released Wednesday.
The video points out that, though Pennsylvania has not gone Republican since 1988, the western part of the state has trended more conservative in recent years.
“I mean, if it is true, that’s okay too because all I have to do is stop funding the Republican Party”, Trump said Thursday on FOX News’ O’Reilly Factor.
“There’s no truth. I’m the one that’s funding”.

However, Shays says that Clinton has her share of imperfections, but they don’t compare to what he describes as the “dangerous” qualities of Trump.
