Person fatally shot near MIT campus; no threat to campus
Police reported that a man was shot at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology near to Windsor and Main Street at 08:41 p.m. Later he was dead.

The victim drove to Kendall Square after being shot and stopped across Main Street from the Boston Marriott Cambridge Hotel, according to MIT.
Cambridge police confirmed that they were investigating multiple gunshots near the 700 block of Main Street where one man was hit in a vehicle.
The investigation into this shooting remains ongoing and police say the driver of the vehicle is cooperating.
In Roxbury, two people were shot on Ernst Street and one person suffered life-threatening injuries. No arrests had been made as of Wednesday night.
Authorities said at least one person was shot dead and five other people were wounded in separate shootings in Cambridge, Roxbury and Mattapan tonight.

There is no word on whether the shootings are connected.
