Chelsea doctor dropped after Mourinho blast
“Last season, Jose Mourinho said he was so proud of his medical staff and how hard they worked to keep players fit for so long”. Television footage has shown that the pair were beckoned on by the referee, Michael Oliver, and it looked as though they were merely fulfilling their duty of care as medical professionals.

There will be minor changes to the role of first-team physiotherapist Jon Fearn, who was given a private dressing down by Mourinho after the Swansea game.
Mourinho implied that neither Carneiro nor Fearn understood the game of football after Chelsea were left with just 8 outfield players to defend a Swansea counter-attack on Saturday evening.
In stoppage time, with Chelsea already down to 10 men after goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was sent off, Eden Hazard was brought down at Stamford Bridge.
Support flooded in yesterday for the 41-year-old after she was ruthlessly axed from the bench by the Blues boss. The General Medical Council (GMC) which governs all registered and practising medical doctors in Britain lays out clear guidelines of behaviour.
Jose Mourinho was furious and now Eva Carneiro might not be seen on the Chelsea bench again.
[FULL STORY: Mourinho slams Carneiro after Hazard incident]. The theory would go a long way to explain the unjustified anger.
Brukner, the former head of sports medicine and sports science for Liverpool, said he believed Mourinho owed his medical staff an apology.
“They were only responding to the referee’s instruction to come and a treat the player, so to criticise the medical staff publicly in the way that he did was absolutely appalling behaviour”.
Chelsea have described the situation as an “internal staffing matter” and, as such, they have no comment to make.
That status attracted in excess of 22,000 likes and on Tuesday it emerged Carneiro’s role was changing, albeit while keeping the title as Chelsea’s first-team doctor. Carneiro is very well respected among her peers and the players.
Carneiro took to Facebook following news of her demotion began to circulate, thanking fans for their support. “Really very much appreciated”.

Quickly and firmly: Carneiro is set to lose her place on the bench for Sunday’s trip to Manchester City.
