Donald Trump: Clinton Can Only Win Pennsylvania If ‘They Cheat’

Donald Trump again raised the specter of election fraud Friday, saying that the only way he would lose Pennsylvania is to Hillary Clinton is if “they cheat”.

“Some great leaders here of the Republican party, and they’re very concerned about that”, said Trump, who was introduced at the rally by Republican National Committee chair Reince Priebus. The only way we can lose, in my opinion – I really mean this, Pennsylvania – is if cheating goes on.

“The people in western and central Pennsylvania have to overcome what goes on down in Philadelphia”, Shuster said. Trump responded by telling this person to go back home to their mother, adding that the person’s mother was probably voting for Trump.

Trump now trails Clinton by 9 points in Pennsylvania.

Decked out in Trump attire, Tracy Fields, 40, of Warren, and her husband Jeff, 37, said they’re “disgusted” by Clinton and hope Trump wins Pennsylvania come November.

Ben Carson, who supports Trump, told CNN’s Erin Burnett that the focus should be on how to make sure there is no voter fraud – which he noted would be good for both parties.

Trump on Friday told the rallies in Altoona and Erie that his remarks earlier this week calling Obama and Clinton the founders of ISIS, as Islamic State is also known, had been sarcastic. In off year and mid-term elections, turnout tends to be stronger in Republican parts of the state than in Democratic areas, so we end up with results like the GOP near-sweep of statewide offices that occurred in 2010, although that advantage wasn’t sufficient to save the state’s Republican Governor in 2014.

Trump said: “We’re going to watch Pennsylvania”.

Some called Clinton a crook and said she should be locked up. According to RealClearPolitics, Clinton leads by an average of nearly 10 points in Colorado and seven in Virginia.

Almost one-fifth of registered Republicans now want Trump to drop out of the race for the White House, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Wednesday.
