Simone Biles wins all-around gold got USA

Simone Biles, a three-time world champion on floor, took her abilities to another level of perfection with a 15.933.

It’s just too bad that the flawless 10 was abolished from gymnastics.

Simone Biles took the floor with a smile that had a hint of mischievousness in it. “On Aug. 9 when she was part of the women’s team all-round that won the gold, she was the only member of the squad to not put her hand over her heart as the National Anthem played, causing her to get pummeled for being unpatriotic and disrespectful”. When she became the first black gymnastics world champion in 2013, Carlotta Ferlito, an Italian gymnast, told a journalist that she had joked with a friend that they should “also paint our skin black, so then we could win, too”. She literally has a tumbling move named after her because no one else can do it. “Floor is the event where she undeniably marks her superiority”.

She launched her challenge by nailing a hard Amanar vault scoring 15.866 despite a wobbly landing to lead Raisman by 0.233. “We are both excited to be here and now we are both taking gold medals home”. She didn’t earn that margin because she’d stuffed her routines with the sport’s most-difficult maneuvers.

Biles was so dominant that she could have fallen twice and still romped to the all-around title. “Now in two years, she might be singing a different song”.

Day 5 in Rio saw Michael Phelps prove superhuman yet again.

Aly Raisman’s parents became internet sensations during the Rio Olympics when their tense reactions to their 22-year-old daughter’s performance went viral.

Even Mustafina said she knew she had no shot at gold, or even silver.

The eyes of the world will be on gymnast Simone Biles on day 6 as the American chases a second gold medal in the women’s all-round, while golf returns to the Games after a 112-year absence.

Manuel not only gave Team USA its first gold medal in that competition in decades, the win marked various firsts for her as well.

The women’s 100m freestyle final at the 2016 Olympics was a race marked by historic feats. Biles stood second, and Raisman fell back to fourth. Everyone said her victory was a foregone conclusion.

“No one goes into this thinking they can beat Simone”, she told the Los Angeles Times. “She’s not as loose or carefree as she appeared before”, Liukin said mournfully on Thursday, even as the object of her sadness pulled off another airy miracle on the beam.

Many reigning world champions before Biles have tried to conquer the Olympics, only to crumble under the weight of expectation – thus becoming victims of what in gymnastics circles is known as the “curse of the world champion”.
