THE Teen Choice Awards have angered viewers by failing to mention Christina Grimmie.
“Tonight we stand together with these teens, united in our call for peace and an end to this violence”, Alba explained.
Since politics is on just about everyone’s minds these days the Teen Choice Awards chose to get in on the campaign action by holding an election decided by those who are not actually old enough to vote yet. The award show’s hosts WWE superstar John Cena and actress Victoria Justice dressed in drag as presidential nominees Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
Justin Timberlake accepted The Decade Award at the Teen Choice Awards last night, where he delivered a powerful and inspiring speech to the young people watching in the crowd and at home. From Justin Timberlake’s inspirational speech to Jessica Alba’s emotional tribute to gun violence, this was one award show not to miss.
Timberlake said that he was inspired by boxer Muhammad Ali and the lessons Mr. Ali demonstrated, including “service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth”. Joining a tearful Alba, the two asked the audience to take a picture of the courageous teens onstage and post with the hashtag #StopTheViolence, which started trending on Twitter soon after.
He was given the award, marking 10 years since the release of his album Future Sex/Love Sounds and his acting and music work since then, by the former LA Lakers star Kobe Bryant. “Don’t think for a moment that what you do doesn’t count”.
On that note, Ne-Yo took the stage to perform Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On”. “You will fall down”.

Unfortunately, not everything was pretty and happy at this year’s Teen Choice Awards. I have many times … so don’t waste your 20s. As long as “Teen Wolf” has been alive, and these are always just the greatest things.
