On Friday, Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s adviser on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz was quoted by the media, saying that his country was planning to invite India for a dialogue on the Kashmir issue.

“At this time they include a stoppage of Pakistani support for cross-border terrorism, infiltration of terrorists like Bahadur Ali, incitement to violence and terrorism across the border, parading of internationally recognized terrorists like Hafiz Saeed and Syed Salahuddin, and honest follow-up on the Mumbai attack trial and the Pathankot attack investigation in Pakistan”, he stated.
Bilateral talks between India and Pakistan have been suspended following the terror attack on the Pathankot air base. India had blamed the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Muhammad militant group for the attack.
Swarup didn’t mention the Kashmir issue in his response.
While asking people to observe 15th August as black day, Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) President and MLA Langate Er Rashid Saturday has asked Indian state and its extension wings in J&K to explain “why should people of Jammu and Kashmir celebrate India’s republic day when the fact is that J&K was a sovereign independent state on 15th August 1947”.
“The Envoys Conference noted that India’s policy of not engaging in a comprehensive dialogue with Pakistan was not conducive for peace in South Asia”, Aziz said. The conference had emphasised that Islamabad should continue to extend full diplomatic, political and moral support to Kashmiris’ movement for self-determination.
Muzaffarabad-The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that stable, strong and democratic Pakistan was the guarantee for the success of Kashmir freedom movement.
Raja Farooq said the 15 August would be marked traditionally as a black day in all district headquarters of Azad Kashmir and protest rallies, seminars and demonstrations would be held to seek attention of United Nations and global community towards the ongoing Indian atrocities and continuation of gross human rights violation of Indian occupied forces unleashing on innocent Kashmiri people.
India had accused Pakistan of interfering in the affairs of Jammu and Kashmir following the mass protests that engulfed the Kashmir Valley after the July 8 killing of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.
