PoK part of India; Pakistan must answer on atrocities in Balochistan: PM

Speaking during the ALL Party Meet today, the PM said that has come for Pakistan to answer the world on atrocities against people in PoK and Balochistan.

Pakistan on Thursday said it had written to the Arab League highlighting the “horrific” Indian brutalities in Kashmir and asked its member countries to intervene. Violence, terrorism and anti-Indian activity would be dealt with sternly, Mr. Modi warned.

At the all-party meeting held to discuss the ongoing unrest in Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, Aug 12, said that Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Ladakh are integral parts of India.

The world knows that Pakistan bombards its own people and even murder its own intellectuals to suppress their voice, he added.

He said every Kashmiri wants peace and has faith in democracy but at the same time the government must ensure there is no compromise on national security. “There can not be any compromise on national security”, he added.

While briefing the media, the advisor said that Envoys Conference had deliberated for three days on major foreign policy challenges of Pakistan and to make recommendations which were then presented to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on August 3. “The Government expects constructive support from all Opposition parties on this”.

Meanwhile, Er Rashid has strongly condemned the atrocities and pressure tactics on people of Chenab and Pir Panchal regions in Jammu Province who have been taking to streets everywhere seeking resolution of J&K dispute and said that “no one is seeking resolution to dispute on communal lines in Jammu Province and the propaganda by BJP and Hindu fanatic forces can not suppress the genuine voices”.

With dozens of lives being lost in one day in Quetta, the spokesman at the Foreign Office, during the weekly media briefing, said that while investigations are under way, involvement of Indian spy agency RAW can not be ruled out.

More than 50 civilians have been killed in clashes between protesters and security forces, and thousands more injured in the worst violence to hit the Himalayan region since 2010. The government had earlier ruled out any possibility of talks with separatists till some normalcy is retored in the valley.
