Rams slip past Cowboys in 1st game back in LA
There were a lot of questions for the Dallas Cowboys to answer heading into their first preseason game tonight. “So that was fun”. After taking a hit Goff did injure his non-throwing shoulder, but he should be good to go when next week’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs rolls around.

As expected, incumbent quarterback Case Keenum started for the Rams, played three series and oversaw two three-and-out possessions and one nice eight-play, 75-yard touchdown drive.
Keenum played for six games and he completed 60.8 percent of his passes for 828 yards and four touchdowns against one interception. The tight end from Western Michigan was equally effective whether working split out wide, where he broke a tackle on a 14-yard reception from Goff, or on the line of scrimmage. He has never scored in the regular season. The Cowboys held on to that lead and won the game, 34-31, to improve to 2-1.
The underwhelming effort came at an awkward time, shortly after a published report said the Rams likely would extend the contracts of Fisher and general manager Les Snead before the season.
In fact, they couldn’t have been worse at the start.
Dallas’ Dez Bryant caught a 10-yard touchdown pass, but the Los Angeles Rams earned a win in their homecoming when Sean Mannion threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Green with 1:54 remaining for a 28-24 comeback over the Cowboys at the Coliseum on Saturday.

The NFL is trying to squeeze maximum interest out of the Rams return to L.A. The season’s first Monday Night Football game features the Rams versus the San Francisco 49ers at Levi Stadium. Number one overall pick Jared Goff will make his professional football debut, with Todd Gurley beside him ready to lead the Rams into this new era. Defensive tackle Maliek Collins (foot) and end Charles Tapper (back) are also dealing with injuries, but should be available later in the preseason.
