42 injured after fence collapses at Snoop Dogg’s concert in New Jersey
At least 42 people were injured on Friday night after a fence collapsed as fans spilled over the ledge during rapper Snoop Dogg’s concert in New Jersey, authorities said.

Forty-one other people were treated for minor injuries, including bruises and broken bones.
The incident took place while the two performers were on a secondary stage near the rear of the amphitheater and only moments after the two rappers had urged fans to “get up”.
The incident happened around 10 p.m.
The concert was about halfway finished when the railing collapsed. Several fan videos show Snoop and Wiz yelling for the crowd to “Stand Up!” and then suddenly the railing gives way and people start falling down like dominoes.
The railing separated fans from a sloping area that leads to a concrete walkway.
An announcer asked the audience to remain calm as police and medics responded to the scene, she said.
Camden City Spokesman Vince Basara says that city officials are working with BB&T Pavilion to address the issue.
The person who suffered the most serious injuries when a railing collapsed during a Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa concert in New Jersey has been released from a hospital. Their conditions weren’t known and the number of injured could increase. Many people left the area, while others were limping off or needed assistance from others. Organizers later chose to cancel the remainder of the show and clear the pavilion. The venue’s management, Live Nation, has not commented on the matter.

The BB&T Pavilion opened in 1995 as the Blockbuster-Sony Music Entertainment Center. It has undergone several name changes, though, as sponsors have gone out of business or were acquired by other companies.
