Prince Fielder’s career may be over
Nearly like his father before him, Cecil Fielder, who held a record of 13 professional seasons in the same sport, Prince Fielder will be finishing his career in baseball with a significantly fewer games at 12 MLB seasons.

Fielder, ESPN reported, said: ‘The doctors told me since I had two spinal fusions, I can’t play Major League Baseball anymore. Hopefully he’ll be able to walk a straight line again.
“I was thinking, how am I going to hit a fastball tomorrow?”, he said.
He was limited to just 42 games that season, but surprisingly bounced back in 2015 to play in 158 games. For the season, he’s hitting a paltry.212/.292/.334 with eight home runs. “You got a tissue?” asked Fielder during the middle of his speech.
Promotion goes awry: Boston canceled a David Ortiz bobblehead promotion Tuesday when the figurine turned out to be “racially insensitive”, said team president Sam Kennedy. “I’m so proud of them for being that strong for me at that time”.
All of Fielder’s teammates, along with Rangers coaches and staff, filled the interview room to support him.
“I’ve got three [family members] at home, and 25 more here”, Fielder said.
Outfitted in a cumbersome neck brace, Fielder battled back tears as he offered thanks. “I just had a bad reaction”, Kennedy said.
Prince Fielder spent much of his childhood in one of the biggest residences in Brevard County – five acres of land and 19,000 square feet of house.
Texas Rangers’ Prince Fielder pauses as he makes comments during a news conference before a baseball game against the Colorado Rockies, Wednesday Aug. 10, 2016, in Arlington, Texas. “‘It’s alright dad’ they didn’t break stride…” Fielder was also a showman, one of the game’s most entertaining players.
Fielder will finish his career tied for 116th on the all-time home run list, with 319 home runs. If he doesn’t return he’ll be paid about $81 million after his final game. “I haven’t thought that far”.

Fielder ended his career with the Brewers in the offseason prior to 2012, signing a nine-year, $189 million contract with the Detroit Tigers. Another $36 million will reportedly be re-couped in insurance.
