Virtually turning down Pakistan’s proposal that it would invite India for a dialogue on J&K, India on Saturday made it clear that it would talk on “contemporary and relevant” issues in Indo-Pak relations and at this time it included stoppage of Pak-supported cross-border terrorism.
India on Saturday said that it would accept Pakistan’s offer for dialogue, only if it was on the issue of cross-border terrorism emanating from the neighbouring country. “DeM request all the people mostly women to celebrate Pakistan Independence Day with fervor and stage protest against India rule in Kashmir”, she said.
“We all are committed to the national sentiment that there can not be any compromise with the country’s integrity”. About Indian involvement in subversive activities in Pakistan, the Advisor said Pakistan has already shared a dossier on the issue with the world community and UN. This includes connecting the Kashmiri youth with the economic development in the valley by creating opportunities. “We assure our fulll cooperation”, Singh said. “The government expects constructive support from all opposition parties on this”.
Several civilians lost their lives in clashes between stone pelting mobs and security forces. I have full sympathies with their families. “In fact, the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, also part of Jammu and Kashmir, too have revolted against exploitation and repression by Pakistan”, he said, adding that the residents of these regions have also expressed their anger over the “massive” presence of Chinese people there. “It is the job of the government to identify them”, he said.
Narendra Modi also promised to look into the grievances of those living there in a statement issued after meeting with national political parties to find ways of ending the ongoing violence in the troubled state.
Giving details of the PM’s views, Singh said there were only few people who were instigating violence. “An expert committee is looking into it (use of pellet guns)”.
Briefing the media after the all-party meeting, the government attempted to link the Kashmir unrest with events happening in other parts of the world.

“Security forces have been asked to act with utmost restraint, and curfew has been relaxed”, he said.
