St. Louis starter Luke Weaver gave up two runs on four hits in his major league debut. Toronto has won seven of nine meetings with the Astros this season.

Joey Votto had four hits and two RBIs, and the Reds finished with 16 hits. Chicago 1B Anthony Rizzo, who has reached base in 19 consecutive starts, is 10-for-32 with two home runs versus Leake. Four of the hits against him were by Casey McGehee.

DODGERS 8, PIRATES 4: Joc Pederson homered and Los Angeles combined 17 hits and a pair of successful challenges for a victory over Pittsburgh at Los Angeles.

After getting a leadoff lineout, Edwards sandwiched his first two walks around a base hit to load the bases.

Weaver will be the 11th Cardinals starting pitcher to make his major league debut at Wrigley Field and the first since Adam Ottavino in 2010.

MIAMI – Dioner Navarro scored the go-ahead run on a strikeout, capping a freakish eighth-inning comeback in Chicago’s comeback victory over Miami. He is winless in five career regular season starts against St. Louis, going 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA. He joined Double-A Springfield, where he made 12 starts with a 6-3 record and 1.40 ERA.

Edwards then walked the next two batters to force in another run. Corey Seager also three hits and an RBI, and Los Angeles overcame a 3-1 deficit by scoring in each of the first six innings.

Clevinger allowed one hit in his 91 pitches against the team that drafted him in 2011 but traded him three years later.

The Angels have lost nine in a row; their worst losing sequence for 17 years.

MARINERS 4, ATHLETICS 3 Robinson Cano and Nelson Cruz both homered, leading visiting Seattle over Oakland. Seth Smith singled in the go-ahead run with two outs in the fifth, and Cano hit the next pitch over the center-field wall for his 26th homer.

Giancarlo Stanton hit his 25th homer for the Marlins, and Martin Prado added a three-run shot.

His 14th homer also tied him for the most by a Cubs shortstop since Alex Gonzalez hit 20 in 2003. His three-run homer in the second inning was his second in his last four games.

YANKEES 8, RAYS 4: Tyler Austin and Aaron Judge became the first teammates to hit home runs in the first at-bats of their major league debuts in the same game, sparking NY at home.

MINNEAPOLIS – Brian Dozier hit his 25th home run of the season and the 100th of his career, leading Tyler Duffey and Minnesota past Kansas City.

MILWAUKEE – Eugenio Suarez hit a three-run home run during an eight-run sixth inning in Cincinnati’s victory over Milwaukee.
