Here’s Bill Bailey playing No Man’s Sky

An admirable end goal in theory – but we’ve got very busy lives and don’t want to spend six minutes searching every menu looking for the save button.

Hello Games, Sean Murray demonstrates “No Man’s Sky” during the Sony E3 press conference at the L.A. Memorial Sports Arena on June 15, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.

Players have reported being able to farm five Atlas Stones in 30 minutes with this method, which would normally take at least five hours if not more. It goes without saying that many players would like such exploits as they make the gameplay significantly easier, even if it takes the fun out of doing it the right way.

Story wise, I can’t do much to spoil No Man’s Sky because there’s not a whole lot to spoil yet.

A big part of No Man’s Sky’s pitch is letting you scan in and name the creatures and plants you find on each planet.

Units are the main currency in No Man’s Sky. Don’t be afraid to accept a little help. When you interact with it, the two sides will open, falling to the ground. Unless of course, that’s exactly what you want to do…

One of the latest No Man’s Sky cheats allows players to collect infinite Atlas stones and many rare items in the game. Do NOT try attacking bigger ships until you are ready and have multiple combat upgrades installed.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past several years, you’ll be aware of a little game called No Man’s Sky.

If exploration and discovery is your focus, adding extra range to your Multi-Tool’s scanner will make new species discovery a breeze, while enhancing your mining beam will help you become an efficient, wealthy trader. Here’s how to get it. Whenever you get bored of poking around, or run out of credits to buy upgrades, you can easily hop back onto the main plot, which isn’t too demanding.

The first step, naturally, is to build a hyperdrive. Don’t leave your home system without it. Your storage slots – on your suit, your ship, and your gun – serve double duty, containing resources and crafted items and upgrades.

There exists an item duplication glitch that does what it says on the tin – lets you duplicate items instead of working for them. Here’s all about that, and how to do it while it lasts.

With that in mind, here’s our guide to building and upgrading the hyperdrive in No Man’s Sky. Don’t get us wrong, upgrading some of it so that you aren’t laughably helpless isn’t a bad idea, but in general, you should look at replacing your equipment with newer, better stuff- either by finding it in the wild, or by purchasing it from trading outposts.
