With the Dallas Cowboys’ first preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams right around the corner, ardent Dallas supporters are wondering if their beloved franchise quarterback Tony Romo will play even one series of downs. The Rams host the Chiefs next Saturday.

But the offense stalled and the Rams rallied for a 28-24 win behind Sean Mannion – the seemingly forgotten man in the Rams’ QB competition.

Offseason acquisition DeMarco Murray rolled up 93 yards in the first quarter, including a 71-yard touchdown run with 50 seconds left in the period that put the Titans ahead to stay at 10-7.
Goff did return for a second series and may have thrown his first touchdown pass if rookie receiver Pharoh Cooper had not dropped the ball. But as they quickly learned, that doesn’t mean it will all be immediately better.
In fact, they couldn’t have been worse at the start.

The Rams could have been closer, but Goff was sacked in the final minute of the half. And Pagano didn’t waver when reminded he was prepared to have Luck play a week earlier against Green Bay in the Hall of Fame game before it was canceled because of an unplayable field.
