If you read my first impressions piece on No Man’s Sky yesterday, then you’ll know that one of the key complaints I have with the game is the lack of inventory space.

Okay, so: when you complete your journey with Atlas, you have a choice. Their first duty is to fix the spaceship to begin exploring. The game involves a lot of space exploration, discovering alien species as well as material farming. A typical Call of Duty: Black Ops III bundle will run you $350 and No Man’s Sky + Uncharted 4 $120 at full price, so the bundle has a $70 bonus in total.
While you are there, try to look around the area and you will find it inside one of the buildings. Early game replacements seem to be valued at around 50,000 to 100,000 credits, although this may vary for each player. The tactics that work early on may not be what you need in endgame, and there’s no telling what further secrets will be uncovered. While you may instinctively not want that to happen, you’ll need to consent to this process in order to be in with a chance of getting a Hyperdrive upgrade.
Ideally you’ll use the ship to hop from one local destination to another, recharging your health and shield and shuffling your inventory before another scouting mission. So you’ll your inventory back plus access to the grave, effectively doubling your stash. Knowledge Stones teach you words from unusual languages, which make trade negotiations with their native speakers easier and raise your standing with their cultures. Collecting too many resources also means you were probably very aggressive in trying to mine and harvest nodes, or engaging with wildlife- which, whoops, means you now have some drones after you.
Have you upgraded your hypderdrive in No Man’s Sky? In order to do this, you must get as close as possible to the object you’re looking to scale and make sure there is no distance between you and the object.
As we noted in our tips post, a quick and easy way of getting more slots is to seek out Drop Pods on planets, or to purchase whatever Exosuit upgrades you may come across while on your travels. It will all be second nature to you very soon, but for now?
Assuming you survive, you then craft the resources you gather into rarer items you need to power up your ship or your gun, and trade the leftovers for cash at trading stations. Fly your starship to this outpost to find an alien who gives you a recipe for the hyperdrive. To start off with Plutonium, this resource comes in the form of sharp red crystals and can be used to refuel your mining gun, life support, launch thruster and much more.
Not only that, but drones are a great source of Titanium.
As far as I’m concerned, that’s the magic of “No Man’s Sky”.
Next, board your ship if you haven’t already, and head out into the vast, open frontier of space.
When closing in on a ship, three red lines will appear around it. Keep aiming and shooting at the ship, and you’ll see a triangular shape show up ahead of it.

You might wish to roam freely around the galaxy or follow the path of least resistance that the galactic map presents to you, but there are other options available to you. Thing is, you don’t really know much about Atlas – and it’s not like characters named Atlas have the best track record in games – and you’re presented other options as you progress, in a fashion that you pretty much can’t miss.
