Abramovich is said to be furious with Mourinho for the controversies the row with with Carneiro has caused as the doctor is looking to sue Mourinho over her treatement.
“He had a knock and was very, very exhausted but my medical department were impulsive and naive to leave me with eight outfield players”.
Jose Mourinho fury at Eva Carneiro was heavily criticized by many and it was pointed out that his team enjoyed an excellent medical record last season.
Hazard was briefly forced off meaning that, following Thibaut Courtois’ dismissal, Chelsea were down to nine men, and the Portuguese later stated he “wasn’t happy” with his medical staff.
Carneiro was criticised by Mourinho for not “understanding the game” as she entered the pitch to treat Hazard in stoppage time, an incident which Mourinho believed wasted time. Television footage has shown that the pair were beckoned on by the referee, Michael Oliver, and it looked as though they were merely fulfilling their duty of care as medical professionals.
But the Premier League Doctors Group issued a strong defense on behalf of Carneiro on Wednesday, saying the medics were clearly summoned by the referees to attend to Hazard.
Carneiro was then reportedly told her first-team duties would be severely diminished after posting a message on Facebook thanking the public for their support.
Carneiro has been an ever-present figure on the Chelsea bench ever since she got promoted to her current role by Andre Vilas Boas in 2011, and is one of the few women to be involved in a Premier League first-team setup. So to criticise the medical staff publicly in the way that he did was absolutely appalling behaviour’.
The blues boss claimed Carniero did not “understand the game”.
The decision after the event is an internal matter for the club to decide on restructuring. She will also be continuing her work with first-team players at the London club’s training ground in Cobham, Surrey.

Carneiro is set to lose her position on the bench.
