Adele Declined An Offer To Perform at the Upcoming Super Bowl
Earlier this month, rumors surfaced that Adele was the odds-on favorite to headline the Super Bowl 51 halftime show following reports that the 25 singer was approached by the National Football League to perform at the February 2017 event in Houston.

Given that the likes of Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Coldplay and Beyoncé have owned the stage, it seemed certain that the London young lady would lend her vocals to the show. Had Adele accepted the invitation, she would have been putting her name alongside plenty of big names.
Additionally, Adele and the Super Bowl don’t exactly go together like peanut butter and jelly. Come on, that show is not really about music and I don’t dance or anything like that. I don’t dance or anything like that. “They did ask me, but I said no”.
The halftime show tends to feature more upbeat songs with a big show going on around them.

The singer has confirmed that she was indeed approached to perform at the event early next year, just like original reports stated, but she has turned down the offer. We don’t think the two audiences line up properly, and many Super Bowl viewers probably wouldn’t properly get Adele’s excellence. Would you like to see Rihanna take her place instead? “I’m sorry, but maybe next time”. The Super Bowl halftime show is usually a rushed performance that is allowed about 12 minutes.
