Boulder weather: High of 82 with afternoon showers likely

Due to the timing of the front, the best chance for storms looks to be east of I-95.

Friday night: Clear, with a low around 62.

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 72.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy skies and seasonably warm temperatures will be around for Monday with a high temperature of 87 degrees. Wednesday will be chillier, with highs only in the upper-60s.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57. These storms produced a lot of lightning and gusty winds in excess of 40 miles per hour. This will kick off afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. That’s five degrees cooler that the average high temperature of 89 for the middle of August in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Chances for rain showers will be limited to the southwest.

Saturday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 97. Chance of rain is 60 percent. Rain chances will remain near zero as the drier air will make it almost impossible for rain to form. What begins as a partly to mostly sunny day will wrap up with some scattered thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon.
