Most released their returns for several years, such as Bob Dole in 1996.
According to the Post, Trump had given less than $10,000 out of his own pocket between 2009 and May of 2016, after the media shamed into giving the $1 million that he promised veterans charities, “But proof has been hard to find”.
The release appeared to be aimed at drawing renewed attention to Donald Trump’s refusal to release his own tax records.
