Mourinho has dig at Klopp over Paul Pogba transfer
Former United captain Rio Ferdinand was at the club during Pogba’s first stint at Old Trafford and believes he won’t let the pressure of living up to such a huge fee affect his performances.

“It will be good to see how he fits into the team”. David Moyes led them to a seventh placed finish before Louis van Gaal took them back into the top four, yet guided them to a finish outside it last season. The Red Devils recently completed the world-record signing of the French midfielder, for a fee of around £89m ($115.3m), and Mourinho has suggested he will line up alongside the United veteran. He always wants to be involved and on the ball. Gary Linekar tweeted optimistically, “more of the greats will come here and not just to Barca and Real Madrid”.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp raised doubts over the move – which could be worth as much as €110million – while Mourinho’s long-term rival Arsene Wenger branded the deal “completely crazy”.
English clubs have endured a disappointing period in European football over recent years, with Chelsea the only club to win the Champions League since United’s 2008 success. “There’s always a surprising team and then you have the six or seven big clubs who have the ambition to win it”.
“I’m just glad we have a top class player at the club, and one who is young enough to play through his best years at Old Trafford”. Here is a link to his first photos and interview as a member of United for the second time. “I spoke with (Alvaro) Morata, (Raphael) Varane – and they all told me that he is a coach for me, he will make me improve a lot, because he makes you work harder”.
And Mourinho was quick to tell any detractors only a club of United’s size could execute such a deal – which may not have happened had Pogba been keen on a move to Spain. United have not challenged strongly for the Premier League title since Ferguson led them to the trophy in 2013.

“But Mourinho has come in and specified the four players he wanted and the club has got them all”.
